This ‘Rose’ Has Some Message For Us

Live quietly in the moment and see the beauty of all before you. The future will take care of itself……
– Paramahansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi)

I find it easy to capture things which I can click comfortably, like this beautiful rose. If this were in a garden, I would have hesitated to capture it because of the presence of other people. This is something I want to change in myself.

Anyway, I was gifted this beautiful flower two days before I captured it. I had free time that day and I wanted to experiment with manual mode of my camera in macro focus.

This is a new thing I have got to learn about my camera. I can adjust different flash and focus modes. I clicked this pic in manual mode with macro close-up focus.

I took more than thirty pics of this rose randomly in different modes and settings. Out of them this one is the best. I post processed it in PSE and Light Room. I still don’t know the best practices in photography. I click lots of pics with different settings of the same subject. I don’t know how professional and experienced photographers do it.

Most of the pics I click are rejected at the end, a few of them have some scope of post processing so I don’t feel like deleting them. However, some of them are very good and good results are always inspiring and sharing with you all inspires even more.
